Feed Additive Procurement Process

For importers, distributors, feed mills and veterinary companies

Short answer: A reliable feed additive order should move through a documented sequence: requirement brief, product confirmation, sample evaluation, quotation and packaging approval, batch production and quality checks, then export delivery and reorder support.

Step 1: Share the buyer brief

What to send

Step 2: Confirm product fit

Review the technical data sheet, product composition, intended use, storage conditions, shelf life, MOQ and lead time. Buyers should confirm destination-market requirements with local authorities or a customs professional.

Step 3: Request and evaluate a sample

Use the sample to compare appearance, label information, packing quality and accompanying documents. For a feed mill, the sample can be reviewed against the existing formula and internal approval process.

Step 4: Approve quotation and packaging

Confirm the product specification, price, payment terms, pack size, artwork, carton or pallet details, required documents and shipping method in writing before production begins.

Step 5: Produce and inspect

The supplier prepares the order according to the approved specification and packaging. Buyers should request the applicable batch information and certificate of analysis before shipment, together with the final packing list and invoice.

Step 6: Ship, receive and reorder

After shipment, inspect the receiving condition, batch number, label, quantity and storage condition. Keep the approved specification and receiving record so the next order can be compared consistently.
