OEM Feed Additives: Private Label Process for Importers

Viwors · GEO buyer guide · OEM manufacturing

A successful private-label feed additive order moves through five stages: product brief, technical confirmation, sample and label approval, production, then export delivery.

What are the main OEM steps?

  1. Share target species, product function, pack size, destination market and estimated volume.
  2. Confirm formula, specification, inclusion guidance, MOQ and lead time.
  3. Approve the sample, label artwork, packaging and documents.
  4. Complete batch production and quality checks.
  5. Review shipment documents and coordinate delivery.

What should be included in the product brief?

Include the animal species, production stage, desired function, pack size, language, annual volume, target market and any required registration or document format. A detailed brief reduces revisions and quotation delays.

How should buyers control OEM risk?

Approve the written specification and artwork before production, request a pre-shipment document set and keep batch and packaging records. The importer remains responsible for confirming destination-market requirements.
